College Soccer News Release

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle goalkeeper Mike Kirk was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, it was announced Monday.
 
Kirk, who was also named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and Soccer 6 Defender of the Week, tallied his league-leading third shutout of the season in a win over No. 25/21 UMBC on Saturday after making six saves in a 2-1 win over Rider on Tuesday. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native recorded a .889 save percentage on the week, facing 18 shots (nine on goal).
 
The Explorers are on the road at Temple on Wednesday and LIU Brookly on Saturday before returning home to McCarthy Stadium to host Villanova on Wednesday, September 30.
