Men's Track and Field
Alfredo Santana has been named GoExplorers.com Student-Athlete of the Month for May. The Philadelphia native was awarded 'Performer of the Meet' honors at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships after winning the 5000m and 10,000m runs. Santana earned the distinction at the indoor championships in February after capturing the crown in the 3000m and 5000m runs.
The Nueva Esperanza product placed 13th at the NCAA Preliminary Championshps in 5000m run, missing Final Round qualification by only one place. Earlier in the month, he was named an A-10 Academic All-Conference performer for the second time this season.
