Farrell Announces Incoming Men’s Soccer Class

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle men's soccer head coach Pat Farrell has announced the addition of five student-athletes to the roster for the 2015 season.    

David Bateman (Maple Glen, Pa./Archbishop Wood) was a four-year letterman at Archbishop Wood and was named the Philadelphia Catholic League MVP and Bucks County Courier Times Player of the Year as a senior. Bateman also secured Southeastern Pennsylvania First Team and Philadelphia Intelligencer First Team All-Intel nods last season and led the Vikings District 12 Championships in his sophomore and junior seasons. 

Hayden Criollo (Union, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) led Saint Peter's Prep to three League Championships (2011-13) in addition to a County Championship in 2011. The forward was named Honorable Mention All-Hudson County and HCIAA in 2013, and was selected to play for New Jersey Cedar Stars Academy in 2014. Criollo was also selected to ODP New Jersey State Team 96' in 2012 and 2013, and received Region 1 Camp invites both years. 

Cameron Keys (Allentown, Pa./YSC Academy) played with ODP Region 1 for three years, and was named ODP Regional All Star Selection in 2013. The goalkeeper was a member of the Philadelphia Union Academy for the U16/18 teams and was named US Soccer Developmental Academy Player of the Week in the fall of 2014. Keys helped lead Lehigh Valley United '93 to the U19 National Championship in 2013.

Garrett Keys (Allentown, Pa./YSC Academy) attended the Philadelphia Union Academy for three years and was also a member of the Regional ODP Team for two years. Keys helped lead Lehigh Valley United '93 to the U19 National Championship in 2013.

Jake Saba (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) helped Lansdale Catholic to a District 12 Championship as a senior, leading the team with 15 goals and six assists. Saba was a First Team All-Catholic League selection in 2013 and 2014, and also led the team in points as a junior with nine goals and eight assists. Also the Team Captain for the Crusaders basketball team, Saba was elected School Treasurer and graduated with Honors. 

The Explorers open their season on Friday, Aug. 28, when they travel to Bucknell for a 7 p.m. contest. They'll host Loyola (Md.) for their home opener on Monday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m.
