PHILADELPHIA – Former La Salle women's soccer standout
Kelsey Haycook has been named a finalist for the John Wanamaker Athletic Award.
Since 1961, the Wanamaker Award been presented annually to the athlete, team or organization that has done the most to reflect credit upon Philadelphia and to the team or sport in which they excel. Past winners include Chuck Bednarik, Julius Erving, Bernie Parent and Mike Schmidt, among others.
Haycook, who holds the La Salle career records for goals (60) and points (142), earned the 2014 Atlantic 10 Offensive MVP award and was named an NSCAA All-American for the second time in her career following her senior season.
The Point Pleasant, N.J. native set the soccer single-season record for goals (20) and points (43) last season, and is also a two-time Capital One Academic All-American.
