ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The La Salle men's soccer team cruised to a 3-0 defeat of the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Saturday night in Atlantic 10 action at Marra Athletics Fields Complex.
Andrew Connors stayed hot with his third goal of the week to give La Salle a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute. Connors headed in a
Mike Liska cross from about five yards out to get the Explorers on the right track.
Sophomore
Ryan Nork tallied his first career goal in the 49th minute thanks to Liska's second helper of the game. Liska tallied his fifth assist of the season with a cross into the center of the box, which Nork redirected into the lower left corner of the net.
Conor Nichols netted his second goal of the season in the 72nd minute to pad La Salle's lead to 3-0, sending the ball over the left shoulder of SBU keeper Bobby Diaz.
Joe Farrell picked up his third assist of the season on the play.
Freshman keeper
Cameron Keys tallied his second shutout of the season, turning away four shots on goal from the Bonnies. The La Salle back line allowed just two corner kicks in the game while the Explorers earned five.
The Explorers are back in action on Wednesday night as they host the VCU Rams at McCarthy Stadium at 7 PM.
