PHILADELPHIA – The Explorers will hit the road Tuesday evening, as they travel to Princeton, N.J. for a clash with the Tigers. The Blue & Gold will look to extract some revenge on Princeton, who defeated the Explorers 2-1 in overtime a year ago, dealing the Explorers their only loss at McCarthy Stadium in the last three seasons.
Scouting the Explorers
La Salle enters Tuesday night's matchup with Princeton, coming off a comfortable 4-0 rout of Philadelphia rival Drexel. The Explorer offense torched the dragons with three second-half goals, while Blue & Gold goalkeeper
Katie Getzinger notched her third clean sheet of the season. Overall, the Explorers possess the best record in the Atlantic 10 Conference at 8-2 on the season.
The Explorers rank at or near the top of the A-10 rankings in most team offensive categories. On offense, La Salle ranks first in the conference in assists (24), while ranking second best in shots (181), points (62), and goals (19).

Kelsey Haycook leads the way for the dynamic Explorer offense. Her 8 goals and 19 points are good for second best in the conference, while she leads all A-10 players with 4 game-winning goals. Complementing the Explorer attack is dynamic senior midfielder
Renee Washington. Washington has netted 5 goals and 12 points so far this season. She is tied for the fifth best point total in the A-10, while she is tied for fourth best in goals scored in the conference.
Junior midfielder
Maryam Huseini has been an effective creator for the Blue & Gold attack all season. Her seven assists not only lead the Explorers, but are the second most of any player in the Atlantic 10.
Not to be outdone by the offense, the Explorer defense has put up some fantastic numbers in their own right. They rank tied for first in the conference with 5 shutouts, while they rank second in the A-10 with only 10 goals allowed on the season.
The backline of the Explorer defense is supremely experienced, led by the play of
Ashley Chilcoat,
Kerri Aiken, and Courtney Niemic. The Explorer defense prides itself on neutralizing threats before they even materialize with aggressive defense. They have only allowed 51 total shots on goal through the teams first 10 matches.
When the rare shot has found its way to the Explorer net area, two fantastic goalkeepers have more often than not been up to the challenge of stopping it. Junior
