PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's tennis team dropped a tough match against Northern Kentucky, 7-0.
 
The Explorers almost earned a win in doubles play, but dropped a very close match between Chas Berenato, Joseph LaBate, Jody Maginley, and Balint Zsidai. Beranato and LaBate lost 8-6.
 
In singles play, the Explorers struggled to get any momentum to earn some points. La Salle dropped all six matches in singles play.
 
Sophomore De'Sean Fennell fought hard in his singles match against Andre Correa, before dropping it in two sets. The first set was scored 6-2, before Fennell forced a tiebreaker in the second set. He later dropped that set 7-5.
 
Berenato also fought hard before dropping two close sets. The junior dropped those sets with a score of 6-3, respectively.
 
The Explorers will close out the season at Loyola (MD.) in a make up from earlier in the season. The match will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
