PHILADELPHA – The La Salle women's tennis team will kick off their spring season on Saturday at Loyola (MD).
The Explorers look to build off a fall season that included 2 wins and three losses.
“The fall season is a good test and preparation for the spring season. We didn't do as well as we wanted to do, but now it is time to play our rivals. It is important to prepare ourselves for the A-10 tournament” head coach
Tony Green said.
The spring season includes 12 matches, including two against city rivals, Drexel and Saint Joseph's. The first match against city opponents is on March 26th against the Dragons in University City.
“Everyone looks strong and with more practice and some competition, we should be able to have promising spring 2013” senior
Sarah Chambers said.
The Explorers finish their spring season with a match on the road against Rider University. The Explorers will travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. on April 16th.
La Salle looks to junior
Chloe Trave to start her spring campaign off just like she ended the fall season with a victory.
Trave finished the season with a two set win over Gabby Muller of Gwynedd Mercy College.
“It is important for everyone to step up in the spring season. They worked hard over the offseason, now it is time for it all to pay off” coach Green said.
The Explorers will participate in the Atlantic 10 Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia from April 18-20.
