Kenneth Durrett was a dominating forward who scored 1,679 points in three years (23.6 per game). He was a Co-MVP in the Big 5 as a sophomore in 1969, during the Explorers’ 23-1 season. Chosen as the Big 5 MVP in 1970 and 1971, he led the Big 5 in scoring during those years and was later Inducted into Big 5 Hall of Fame.  Durrett took La Salle into the NIT in 1971.

Durrett went on to have a four-year NBA career (1971-1975) with Cincinnati, Kansas City-Omaha, and Philadelphia.
