PHILADELPHIA, PA - The forecast is out for the 2007-08 men's and women's A-10 Indoor Track and Field preseason selections, and if the Explorers can avoid a few patches of fog they should face sunny skies in the upcoming season. La Salle was picked to finish third (men) and fourth (women) respectively in the A-10, as chosen by the conference's coaches. Sean Quigley (Braintree, MA) led the men to a second-best finish in 2006-07 in the A-10, just short of #1 Rhode Island. Quigley returns this season after earning an All-American trifecta last year- garnering this national honor in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. The women's team finished fourth in 2006-07, and has high hopes this season with Rachel Papin (Philadelphia, PA) returning for her final year. Papin was a NCAA provisional qualifier in the Indoor 5000m and holds the school record in that event. She also earned titles at the A-10 Indoor Championships in 2006-07 in the one mile and 3000m events. The 2008 A-10 men's and women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held on February 16th at the University of Rhode Island.
