PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Athletics is proud to announce its foray into the world of social media as the official Facebook and Twitter pages make their debut today. Click here to become a fan of La Salle Athletics on Facebook and click here to follow the Explorers on Twitter.

"We are excited to debut our Facebook and Twitter pages today," Assistant AD/Communications and Promotions Kevin Bonner said. "We look forward to keeping our fans up-to-date on breaking news for all La Salle sports, as well as including video, photo galleries, ticket information, promotions and much more."

Visiting the Facebook page is as easy as entering "La Salle Athletics" into a Facebook search. Fans will be brought to the La Salle "wall" - which will feature updated news daily and other items.

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and video, and learn more about the people they meet.

La Salle will also release breaking news via short messages called "tweets" from its Twitter account. Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
