Phil Snead, who has been at La Salle since 2005, was named Chief Athletics Operations Officer in January 2024. Snead will oversee all day-to-day operations within the department, and also sits on the Senior Leadership Team for Athletics.
Previously, Snead served as Associate Athletic Director for Business Strategy and Analytics from 2019-2023, and Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations from 2016-2019 where he handled all business operations and oversaw the facilities, equipment, and ticketing offices.Â
Before that, Snead served as Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations from 2005-16. In that role, he oversaw all the department's facilities, including Tom Gola Arena (formerly Hayman Center), DeVincent Field, McCarthy Stadium, Belfield Tennis Courts, Kirk Pool, and the West Campus Softball Field. Snead was also charged with all aspects of game management for athletic contests, from field set-up to security.
He graduated from Temple in 2003 with his Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Recreation Management. A lifelong resident of Bryn Mawr and avid golfer, he currently resides in Haverford, Pa.
