Hannah Woren was promoted from volunteer assistant to assistant coach at La Salle in August 2025, as she continues to help guide the program following an illustrious playing career for the Explorers from 2021-24.
In her second season as the assistant coach, the Explorers posted a 14-7 overall record and reached the semifinals of the 2026 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship. Freshman attacker Nadya Azzopardi was named the 2026 MAAC Rookie of the Year, becoming the first player in program history to earn the honor.Â
Attacker Martina Bonet Saez also earned her second straight All-MAAC First Team selection in 2026, becoming just the second player in team history to achieve the feat multiple times. Goalkeeper Lily Kirby also set La Salle's all-time record with her 638th career save in the 2026 MAAC Semifinals against top-seeded and 18th-ranked Marist.
As a player, Woren was named team captain during her senior season in 2024, leading a La Salle team that knocked off its first ranked opponent in a non-COVID season. The Aurora, Colorado, native was part of a La Salle program that accomplished four-consecutive MAAC championship births and currently ranks top ten in program history in steals and games played.
Woren has additional coaching experience from assisting on the staff of Team USA at the 2022 18u Maccabiah Games in Israel.
In addition to coaching, Woren works as a nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
