 Explorers Defeat Wagner on the Road, 5-2

Staten Island, NY – The La Salle women’s tennis team won their first match of the fall season as they went on to defeat Wagner on the road Sunday, 5-2. Sophomores Christina Gomez and Taylor Silverio and freshmen Tonya Rice and Courtney Babo all played a significant part in helping La Salle win four of six singles in the final match of the fall season. The Explorers (1-8) take a winter break but return on Saturday, March 21, 2009 as they take on Loyola (Md) on the road to begin the spring season.
