Ocean, NJ - With one remaining match in the regular season, the La Salle women's tennis team looked to build some momentum for the Atlantic 10 Championship with a win, but a 5-2 Monmouth victory handed the Explorers their second loss in three tries.

Senior Lauren Perry picked up La Salle's first win at No. 1 singles over senior Sarah Ragan, 6-2, 2-6 (6-3). Freshman Courtney Babo picked up the second and final win for La Salle at No. 4 singles with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over sophomore Katie Tierney.

The Explorers (1-10) have officially completed the 2008-09 regular season and will continue play at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Monroeville, PA, from April 17-19.
