PHILADELPHIA - La Salle senior defender Ally Kenney joins 11 other area student-athletes named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women’s Soccer team voted by the sports information offices at the 28 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Kenney had a career year in her final season in the Blue and Gold, tallying five goals and nine assists for 19 points. The nine assists were third in the Atlantic 10 Conference, which helped the 2006 A-10 All-Rookie team member make a return trip to a postseason team, as she earned Second Team honors for the 2009 season.

That was just one of four honors she picked up during the season, as Kenney adds her latest accolade to her A-10 Academic All-Conference selection and her CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 First Team selection.

Kenney ended her career at La Salle with nine goals and 14 assists for 32 points. The assists are tied for the eighth-most ever in a career at the school.
