PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Women's Soccer is once again honored for its work in the classroom, as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently announced its College Team Academic Award winners for 2009. In each of Head Coach Paul Royal's seven seasons, the Explorers have been recognized by the organization.

In all, a total of 570 soccer teams (141 men, 329 women) across all three Divisions posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team award for the 2008-09 academic year.

The Explorers were one of five teams from the Atlantic 10 Conference to be honored by the NSCAA as La Salle posted a team GPA of 3.05. The entire list can be viewed here.
