In her last three games, Hextall has recorded 10 points.

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle University Women’s Soccer player Kristin Hextall was named the Atlantic 10 Conference’s Player of the Week after accounting for all five goals the Explorers scored this weekend as she helped La Salle earn two victories and improve their record to 3-1 in the conference.

The junior scored the first goal of the game against Charlotte, Friday, then assisted on the game-winner as La Salle defeated Charlotte, 2-1. Then she tallied the game-winner just 1:25 into the match against Richmond, Sunday, and added an assist on the other two goals in a 3-0 victory over the Spiders.

After being held pointless for the first 10 games of the season, the junior has recorded at least one goal and one assist in her last three games and has 10 points in that span. The string actually started last Sunday at Massachusetts, when she scored the game-winner and added an assist in the Explorers 2-1 victory.

With her current outburst, Hextall is now just one goal (14) and one assist (9) shy of cracking the Explorers top 10 in each career category and she is already ninth in points (37) and shots (131) in a career at the school.

In her two+ seasons playing with the Explorers, La Salle is 11-1 when Hextall scores a goal and she has now tallied seven game-winners in her career.

This is Hextall's first A-10 Player of the Week honor, but in 2004 she was named A-10 Rookie of the Week after a two-goal performance at Temple.

La Salle, which improved its record to 5-2 at home, and are now 6-7 overall and 3-1 in the conference (tied for first place) will remain at home for another weekend series when St. Bonaventure (10/13; 7 PM) and Fordham (10/15; 1 PM) visit McCarthy Stadium.
