VILLANOVA, PA - The La Salle lacrosse team devoted its time to the Special Olympics on Sunday, Nov. 8 when the Explorers helped out with the event at Villanova University. "It was special to be a part of something that meant so much to the people participating," said senior Nicole McCurdy. "I saw pure joy in people's expressions and that is something I will never forget." Attending various volleyball and soccer games throughout the course of the day, the lacrosse team cheered on the athletes and some even stood in as line judges during the volleyball matches. "Helping out at the Special Olympics was a fun and rewarding experience," said freshman Jackie Roebuck. "The athletes loved us being there and it gives you a sense of fulfillment because you can tell how much it means to them."
