PHILADELPHIA – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) recently named seniors Jill Davis and Elizabeth Iacullo to the 2009 IWLCA Academic Squad.

A Fall and Spring Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection, Davis was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area and A-10 All-Academic teams. In early May, she was recognized by Phillylacrosse.com as the Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer & Brecher Collegiate Scholar-Athlete of the Week and, in October, she was selected to the Dean’s List.

In 2009, Iacullo started and played in all 16 games and finished fourth on the team in ground balls (23) and tied for seventh in draw controls (9).

All 407 student-athletes were selected based on their academic performance during the 2008-09 school year. All student-athletes were nominated by their programs and, academically, had to be of junior status. Other requirements included a GPA of at least a 3.5 or were in the top 10 percent of their team.
