AMHERST, MA - The Explorers continued their road trip Friday afternoon taking on Massachusetts in an Atlantic 10 contest at Garber field.  The Minutewomen were able to squeak out a 12-11 victory over La Salle.  The Explorers now stand at 6-6 overall and 0-3 in the Atlantic 10, while the Minutewomen improve to 4-6 and get their first win in the conference at 1-0.

The game couldn't get much closer in the first half, as Massachusetts took just a one goal lead into the intermission.  In the second half, the teams were deadlocked at 6-6, but that one goal advantage from the first half proved to be the spoiler for the Explorers.

La Salle freshman leading scorer Emily Bonczek continued her scoring drive, netting three goals in the loss, while Tiffany Grossi also knocked in three shots to pace
La Salle.

Rounding out the scoring fo rhte Explorers were Kristen Davis and Catie Borneman each with two goals and Kate Henwood dropped in the last Explorer goal.  Davis posted La Salle's lone assist of the game.
