Kylie Flett will begin her second season as the graduate assistant coach for the Explorers. Flett comes to La Salle after an outstanding player career at Notre Dame College (OH) under new head coach, Candace Taglianetti. A three-time team captain, Flett started all four years during her collegiate campaign. Flett will be working exclusively with the goalkeeper for her first collegiate coaching debut. In college, Flett maintained at least a 53 save percentage over her four-year career which included a 60.5 save percentage in 2007. Flett was Notre Dame College's leader in every goalkeeping category, playing in 58 career games and combining for over 600 career saves. Flett was a member of the U19 Australian National Team that won a Silver medal at the 1999 World Cup. She hopes to take part in the 2010 World Cup in Prague as a goalkeeper for Team Australia. Flett holds a Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College in Psychology, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Communication from La Salle. The Adelaide Australia native was a multi-sport athlete who also excelled in Tae-Kwon-do. |
