Madron Honored By Atlantic 10
Posted by: Sue SennerPHILADELPHIA, PA - La Salle University field hockey freshman Whitney Madron was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team for the 2005 season. A midfield from Rising Sun, Maryland, Madron stepped into the starting line-up and completed the season with a start in all 20 games for the Explorers. Madron finished the season with five points, including two goals and one assist. In La Salle's final Atlantic 10 game of the season, Madron netted the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Explorers a 3-2 victory. Madron's only other goal of the season was in a 5-4 loss at Lafaytte on October 4th. For thes season, Madron attempted nine shots, including six on goal. |
