Pottstown, PA – The Explorers ended their season and playoff hopes today losing to West Chester at Owen J. Roberts High School 3-1. La Salle scored first early in the first half, but it proved to not be enough.

La Salle junior Sara Camilli (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) scored just 10 minutes into the game, but West Chester evened the score with 6 minutes left in the first half then came out and nothced two more goals in the second half.

Junior goalie Colleen Bolger (Berlin, NJ/Eastern Regiona1) logged 70:00 minutes and stopped four Golden Ram shots. The game was the last for the trio of seniors Tracey Guenther (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland), Amanda Spalding (Lansdale, PA/North Penn), and captain Laura Whitman (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert's).

The Explorers finshed their season with a 9-11 record with two wins in Atlantic 10 play. The team showed great improvement this season tripling their win total and recording over 40 total goals.

La Salle will be returning next year, hungry and looking to earn an Atlantic 10 playoff berth and finish above .500.
