Philadelphia, PA - The La Salle University field hockey team has been cited by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for its team grade point average of 3.47 for the fall term.

That GPA ranks them second among all Division I team behind only Stanford. The team also ranks fourth overall among all teams in Divisions I, II & III behind Stanford, MIT and Vassar.

Additionally, 16 players were recognized for their individual academic achievements by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.3.
