It was Saint Joseph's who clinched a 1-0 victory and improved to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while the Explorers drop to 5-12 overall and 1-4. The first 35 minutes of play seemed to be a warm up for both teams, as the teams combined for just one shot and five penalty corners in the first half. After the intermission, the teams got back to business again, and again neither team appeared to make an offensive attack. At the 48:33 mark of the game, Bolger was again charged with a penalty after falling on the ball, and with 4:46 left to play, Meier again attempted the penalty stroke shot. This time Meier went to the left and Bolger stopped the ball in its tracks. Unfortunately for the Explorers, Meier's first shot was enough to give them the victory. The Explorers will close out the 2004 regular season next Saturday, October 30th, when they host West Chester at 12:00 p.m. Prior to the game, the seven La Salle seniors will be honored.
