West Chester, PA -- La Salle University's Kara Harpel had a pair of second half goals but the Golden Rams of West Chester ended the Explorers' (6-13, 1-5) season with a 3-2 defeat on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic 10 play.

Jacki Eddy, Amanda Wynkoop and Lauren DuBois scored for the Golden Rams (7-11, 2-4) who led 1-0 at halftime and then doubled the lead with Wynkoop's goal off of Marisa Holzman's second assist of the day, 12 minutes and ten seconds into the second half.

Harpel broke the West Chester shutout when she hammered home her fifth goal of the season with Beth Carey assisting 27 minutes and 45 seconds into the second half.

West Chester added their third an final goal with the DuBois strike from Desiree Walker 8:34 to go. Just over two minutes later Harpel scored on the third shot in a sequence that saw WCU keeper Brittany Harding turn away Garbielle Nolt's attempt and a shot by Carey that went wide.

This was Harpel's second two-goal game of the season.  She ends her junior year tied for the team-high with senior Maria Allegretto for goals (6) and points (13).

Goalkeeper Emma Ruth made four saves on seven shots on goal.  West Chester had eight penalty corners to the Explorers' six.
