 Field Hockey Topples Saint Francis, 4-1
Sept. 23, 2007 La Salle got back on the winning track on Sunday, routing host Saint Francis (PA) by a 4-1 score. Kara Harpel got the Explorers on the board first, recording her seventh goal of the season off of her own rebound. Adrianna Lalli made it 2-0 late in the first half with her first career goal. A Red Flash goal early in the second frame cut the La Salle lead in half at 2-1. Maria Allegretto would regain the two-goal lead moments later when she took a pass from Christy Miller to make it 3-1 in favor of the Explorers. Kelly Dougherty added a late insurance goal off of an assist from Haley Froshour. With the win, La Salle improves to 6-5. The Explorers look to make it two in a row when they host Villanova this Saturday at 1 p.m.
