PHILADELPHIA, PA - Sophomore Crista Ricketts (Douglasville, PA/Daniel Boone) led the Explorers once again as La Salle finished its pre-season with a 82-55 routing of the NWBL tonight, Thursday, November 11th.

Ricketts tallied 21 points in the game on 8-11 from the field and 4-5 from the charity stripe. She also led the team in assists with five. Junior tri-captain Shaune McLaughlin (Somers Point, NJ/Mainland Regional) was the only other player to score in double figures for La Salle as she finished with 11. McLaughlin was perfect from the foul line and dished out four assists.

On a whole the Explorers shot over 81% from the charity stripe missing just three free throws, all in the first half. La Salle also showed their range shooting just about 40% from behind the arc. McLaughlin along with sophomore Jenna Graber (Clarksburg, NJ/Peddie School) and freshman Alyse Hoover (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) each scored six points a piece from three point land.

Freshman Carlene Hightower (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Prendergast) and Graber both finished the game with eight points. Senior Jill Marano (Crofton, MD/Arundel) added seven points and three assists while Hoover and senior Monica Garrido-Sanz (Majadahonda, Spain/C.B. Majadahonda) both recorded six points.

Junior Lamera Ferguson (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) led the team with six rebounds, she also added two points both coming from the foul line. Junior tri-captain Davineia Payne (Bear, DE/Caravel Academy) along with freshman Meghan Ahl (Bronx, NY/Preston) posted four points a piece and senior tri-captain Meghan Wilkinson (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) accumulated five points and dished out four assists.

La Salle will kick of its regular season play in the Seton Hall Tournameny this Friday, November 19th at 6:00 p.m.
