SOUTHAMPTON, PA – The La Salle tennis program hosted its annual fundraiser at the Southampton Tennis Club this past Saturday which raised money for its yearly spring break trip.

The event received a strong attendance from family, friends, former student-athletes and supporters of the La Salle tennis program. Aside from socializing at the event, attendants and the current La Salle tennis teams had the opportunity to play on the indoor clay courts at the Southampton Tennis Club.

“The teams did a great job of putting the party together,” said La Salle head coach Ed Colfer. “The players made the calls, mailed out the invitations and interacted with the guests. The players on this year’s teams are very reasonable young men and women. I am very proud of what the players do on and off the courts.”

The Explorers resume play on Saturday, Feb. 6 when the men’s team battles St. Peter’s and Saint Joseph’s in Jersey City, NJ. The women open up the spring season on Wednesday, March 17 when they host Idaho at 3:00 p.m. ET.
