![]() La Salle Tops Wagner, 7-0, For Fifth Straight Win

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men’s tennis team increased its winning streak to five matches on Monday when they defeated Wagner at home, 7-0. The Explorers are now 8-2 this fall and remain undefeated in the month of October. “From last year to this year, we lost two of our starters,” said La Salle head coach Ed Colfer. “I have been really impressed with the way some of our new additions have performed this year. Our current win streak shows the dedication and hard work of our program.” Sophomore Bill Nason and freshman Trevor Donovan each won their respective singles matches and then teamed up at No. 2 doubles to score a perfect 8-0 victory. Senior Jon Maula and freshman Dan Nieves were two other Explorers to win at both singles and doubles on Monday. The Explorers (8-2) will complete their 2009 fall schedule on Saturday, Oct. 17, when they host St. Francis (NY) at 11:00 a.m. ET. La Salle vs Wagner Singles:
