A former player at La Salle and son of longtime head coach Bob Wilkinson, Bob Wilkinson is in his 17th season as an assistant coach for the Explorers. Wilkinson played at La Salle from 1984-87, spending his first three years playing for his father and his final season under current head coach, Pat Farrell. Wilkinson was the Explorer's first captain during the Pat Farrell era. As a player, Wilkinson was an All-Region performer in 1987. He was a Philadelphia Soccer Seven All-Star and an All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference honoree three times each. Wilkinson continues to play at the United German Hungarian Clubm where he has competed in one national Final, two Final Fours, and has contributed to five league championships. Wilkinson earned a bachelor's degree from La Salle in management information systems. He resides in Churchville with his wife, Laura, their two children - Emily (10) and Robert, Jr. (7). |
