Kevin Coleman returns in 2009 for his third season as an assistant coach at La Salle. Coaching runs in Coleman's blood as his father Jim Coleman spent 20 years on the sidelines as an Explorer coach.

Kevin was a standout player at La Salle, graduating in 2005. As a student-athlete at La Salle, Coleman was named to the NSCAA All-American Third Team in 2004-05 as he led the team in points with 14 total. He was second in assists with six and netted four goals throughout the 2004 season. Coleman was a member of a defensively charged backfield that recorded seven shut outs. Coleman led his team to the Atlantic 10 tournament for the first time in seven years. Following the 2004 season Coleman was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and earned a spot on the Philadelphia Soccer Seven All-Star team. Coleman was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team following an impressive freshman campaign and also earned All-Conference Second Team honors in 2003.

After college he played professionally for Virginia Beach of the USL 1 League and the Philadelphia KiXX of the NISL. He was named to the NISL All-Rookie team for the 2008- 2009 season. Club experience includes winning back to back US Youth Soccer National Championships with the FC Delco Arsenal and was inducted into the FC Delco Hall of Fame in 2006. Coleman is also in his second season as an assistant coach in the newly formed US Soccer Development Academy for the U-16 and U-18 teams. Coleman is also the Director of Soccer Shots in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

He is currently working on a Master's degree in education from La Salle and resides in Manayunk, PA.
