Golfers Wrap up Regular Season with Fourth Place Finish at St. Peter's

Neshanic Station, NJ - In their final event before the Atlantic 10 Championships the La Salle University golf team posted a fourth place finish out of 12 teams with a collective 311 in the one-day Peacock Invitational hosted by Saint Peter's College at Neshanic Valley on Tuesday afternoon. Steve Sieracki led the Explorers with a ninth place finish of 76 - just four strokes off the winning score. Chris Caimano came in 14th with a 77, Phil Bruce shot a 78 and Mike Benzinger brought in an 80 for the squad that finished just two strokes behind the third place team from New York University. Wes Licklider posted an 87. 111 golfers particpated in the event with Monmouth winning the event at 295. The Explorers will now be idle before they begin play at the Atlantic 10 Championship on May 2nd at Orange County National in Winter Garden, FL. |
