Philadelphia, PA - Mike Benzinger shot a 73 and finished one stroke behind the winner for second place in the first competition of the spring season for the La Salle University golf team on Monday at The ACE Club.

The Explorers finished third with a team total of 341 in the one day event hosted by Philadelphia University.

Steve Sieracki posted a round of 80 for a fifth-place finish in the field of 19.

Also competing were Sam Venuti whose 93 was good for an 11th place finish and Tyler Batory who shot 99.

The Explorers return to action this Saturday when the compete in the 36 hole Monmouth Invitational on saturday and Sunday in Lakewood, NJ.
