CHERRY HILL, NJ - La Salle senior Yves Mekongo was honored at the 106th Philadelphia Sportswriters Association Banquet, held on Monday evening at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill. Mekongo was seated on the dais and was recognized for his accomplishments last season as an Academic All-American.

Head coach Dr. John Giannini was also seated at the head table with the rest of the Big 5 coaches.

The Explorers host Rhode Island at 7 PM tonight.
