Mike Dertouzos makes the switch from player to coach for the 2009 season. The three-year member of Explorers Baseball helped the Blue and Gold win its only Liberty Bell Classic Championship during his sophomore year - hitting a two-run home run at Citizens Bank Park on April 11, 2006 in the Explorers' 6-5 come-back win over Lafayette. In his career at La Salle, Dertouzos amassed 77 hits, 47 runs, 49 RBI in 112 games played, while once earning Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week (April 14, 2008). He also excelled in the classroom, being named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll every semester he was eligible. Dertouzos graduated from La Salle in 2008 with a degree in education and history. |
