![]() Men's Cross Country Places 7th in Mid-Atlantic Region; Women Finish 12th

Men's 10K Results PHILADELPHIA - Trevon Rainford posted a team-leading 23rd place on Saturday to help lead the La Salle men's cross country team to a seventh place finish out of 24 teams competing at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday at Princeton University. Caitlin Storbeck's 42nd overall finish led the women to 12th place out of 26 competing teams, which jumped the Explorers back into the regional rankings. Rainford earned NCAA District 2 All-Region honors for his 23rd place finish out of 171 runners on the 10-kilometer course. He crossed the finish line in 33:05. Korey Edwards, a 2008 All-Atlantic 10 honoree, finished 30th overall with a time of 33:22. Tyler Jones and Nick Crits followed in 39th and 53rd, respectively, with times of 33:41 and 34:14. Georgetown and Penn State finished one and two in the team standings for the automatic bids to the NCAA national championship. The Hoyas' Andrew Bumbalough captured the individual title. On the women's side, Storbeck and classmate Stephanie Bearish again led the Explorers. Storbeck completed the 6K course in 23:18 for 42nd out of 191 runners, with Bearish just behind in 23:24 for 44th place. Senior Mary Clare Parrott rounds out the top three Explorers with an 84th place time of 24:18. Princeton and West Virginia tied for first in the team standings and earn the automatic bids to nationals. Villanova's Frances Koons captured the individual title. The Explorers return to action next Saturday (11/22) when they head to New York City's Van Cortlandt Park for the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
