PHILADELPHIA - Dave Hausherr was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 7, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Hausherr led the Explorers at Yale's Geigengack Invitational on Saturday with an IC4A qualifying time in the 5,000 meter run.

For his accomplishments, he was also named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week, as voted on by the Office of Athletic Communications.

Hausherr completed a thrilling 5K at Yale, edging out All-Atlantic 10 honoree Jonathan Sclafani of Saint Joseph's by just eight-hundredths of a second. Hausherr clocked a 14:45.81 to Sclafani's 14:45.89 in placing first out of a dozen runners.

Hausherr and the rest of the Explorers return to action this weekend when they head to the Rider/Lafayette Games at the Armory and the Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
