PHILADELPHIA - Senior Korey Edwards has been named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week for his strong performance at Boston University's Terrier Invitational last weekend.

Edwards posted an 8:15.92 in the 3,000 meter run, easily qualifying him for the IC4A Championship. His time was less than eight seconds off the NCAA provisional qualifying time. He finished 10th overall and was the fifth collegian in the event that featured 24 IC4A-level times and three NCAA-level times.

Edwards led a pack of Explorers that hit championship standards this weekend as six other men qualified for IC4A's as well.
