Jan. 12, 2010
PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore track athlete Rashad Little has been named the La Salle Student-Athlete of the Week, as voted on by the Office of Athletic Communications. Little led the Explorers track and field squad to a win at the Delaware Invitational last Friday with two first-place finishes, and was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week for his efforts. He placed first in the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes with times of 7.15 and 23.19 seconds, respectively. Those times rank him among the Atlantic 10 leaders early in the season, as he owns the fourth-fastest 200 time in the league and the seventh-fastest 55 meter time. (Note: His 60m time at Delaware was converted to a 55m time for league seeding.) Little helped the Explorers amass 203 points at the Delaware Invitational, 100 points better than second-place American. The Explorers track and field teams head to the NYC Armory on Friday (1/15) for the Gotham Cup, starting at 11:00 AM.
