PHILADELPHIA, PA- La Salle University Swimming and Diving head coach Matt Nunnally has announced that 16 freshmen will become members of the Explorers this fall as part of the class of 2012.

The newcomers next season will include: Jordan Baker (New Market, Ontario), Edward Carnes (Tinton Falls, NJ), Adriana Correa (Weston, FL), Ashley DeMarco (York, PA), Caitlin Docherty (White Plains, NY), Ben Fallon (Wyndmoor, PA), Andrew Gillespie (Philadelphia, PA), Emily Heath (Meridan, CT), Joe Jung (Lancaster, PA), Erin Karski (Columbus, OH), Laurie McLaughlin (Landsdale, PA), Eric Patendaude (Keswick, Ont.), Christina Rios (Huntington Valley, PA), Kyle Swan (Long Beach, NY) Austin Thomas (Cherry Hill,NJ), and Marci Wixted (Moorestown, NJ).

 “This large class has excited our entire team and coaching staff,” said Nunnally. “We added athletes on the diving boards and in the pool.  Losing only five athletes to graduation and bringing in a class of this size, we add depth to our programs.  Constant improvement is our goal and this class will help.  We are excited about the upcoming season and working with these incoming freshmen, returning athletes and a few transfers - all talented athletes.”
