La Salle sophomore Shannon Duval (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago/Holy Name Convent) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team, it was announced on Wednesday.

Duval earned a trio of top-10 finishes at the 2008 A-10 Championships last month. She won bronze in the 200-yard backstroke (2:19.56), while placing fourth in the 400-yard IM (4:30.16) and sixth in the 200-yard IM (2:06.44). She was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay team that set a school record, finishing in 1:48.01.

At the conclusion of the regular season, Duval ranked in the top five in the conference in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke, as well as the 200 and 400-yard IM.

Duval, an accounting major, maintains a 3.88 overall GPA and is a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
