Philadelphia, PA – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced on Monday that junior Shannon Duval was named Women’s Swimming & Diving Co-Performer of the Week. This marks the third time this season that Duval has been honored with this award.

In two events over the course of the weekend, Duval totaled six first place finishes and three pool records.

On Friday, in a 114-87 road win over Saint Francis (PA), Duval helped lead the women to a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:50.13). She rounded out Friday’s meet with two more first place times in the 200-yard IM (2:09.93) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.92). All three of Duval’s times on Friday set pool records.

Duval carried her success into Saturday and picked up three first place honors in a meet at Duquesne. She was the top swimmer in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.30), 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.86) and the 200-yard IM (2:09.33).

The Explorers will host their honorary “Senior Day” on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6:00 PM against Penn before heading out to Buffalo, NY for the Atlantic 10 Championships from Feb. 18-21.
