On senior day at Kirk Pool, the La Salle University men's swimming team topped Duquesne, 140.5-90.5. In their final home meet, seniors Grant Chin and John Welsh combined for three first-place finishes.

Brandon Hargraves got the Explorers off to a good start in this one, capturing first in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:08.18). Two events later, Stuart Barr finished in a first-place tie with Duquesne's Rich Ryan, clocking in at 22.42.

Chin out swam the competition in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in 1:58.63. He would later place first among a trio of Explorers in the 200-yard breaststroke. Teammates David Ellerson and Chris Tiano finished second and third, respectively. Chin added a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM.

Welsh eked out a victory in the 100-yard freestyle (48.58) to round out the individual first-place finishes for the Explorers.

In the day's final event, La Salle came away with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Explorers will wrap up their regular season slate next Saturday with a meet at crosstown rival Drexel.
