Lori Schwanhausser returns for her third season as graduate assistant after a successful collegiate swimming career at Northwestern University. Achieving NCAA qualifying times in both the 100 and 200 Freestyle, Schwanhausser capped her swimming career in 2005 as a captain of the NU Wildcats. A four-time Big Ten finalist, she helped lead Northwester to an 8-4 dual meet record her senior year with wins over three top-25 Division I teams, Indiana, Tennessee and Michigan. A four-year letter winner, she also was named Most Improved Swimmer for the Wildcats in 2003-04. Prior to her accomplishments at the collegiate level, Schwanhausser was a three-time Connecticut State champion at Ridgefield High School, and a YMCA National Champion while swimming for the Wilton YMC A Wahoos in Connecticut. After graduation from Northwestern in 2005 with a BS degree in Education and Social Policy with a major in Human Development and Psychological Services, Schwanhausser began her professional career as a counselor with SLS Health Group in Brewster, NY. She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at La Salle, where she plans to concentrate on Sports-Performance Psychology. |
