Seventh Season

Jamie Platt returns to La Salle for his seventh season coaching the Explorers. The 2007-08 season, Platt will again assist head coach Matt Nunnally with both the men's and women's swimming teams.

Platt and Nunnally share coaching duties between training groups, relying on a shared team coaching approach to their workouts. Other than the daily coaching duties, Platt assists with the team travel, recruiting, scheduling and team management. "Jamie brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to our program," said La Salle head coach Matt Nunnally. "He has been an integral part of helping our student athletes succeed in the classroom and in the pool. His energy and motivation helps our program as we look to reach a higher level of excellence. His knowledge of technique and swimmer development is a great asset to the program."

Platt has experience coaching swimmers from the developmental to Olympic levels. He came to La Salle from Emmaus, PA, where he was the Head Age Group Coach and Aquatic Director at the Emmaus Aquatic Club (EMAC). Platt, like Nunnally, is also a former member of La Salle's swim team. Platt, who is a member of both the American Swimming Coaches Association and the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, has been the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championship's Meet Coordinator since 2004 and was the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships Meet Coordinator in 2007. Platt currently resides in Philadelphia.
