O'Donnell Earns All-Conference Honors at Atlantic 10 Rowing Championship

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - The La Salle women's rowing team competed in the Atlantic 10 Championship on the Cooper River on Saturday and its two boats scored 16 points in the petite finals. Junior Lauren O'Donnell was tabbed Second Team All-Conference for her efforts on the water.

The Explorers raced two boats on Saturday, the varsity eights and novice eights. The varsity eight crew rowed a 7:36.7 to place third in the petite final, while the novice eight crew won its petite final with a 7:18.4.

Massachusetts claimed the Atlantic 10 title with 141 points, followed by Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's. Rounding out the field was Dayton, Temple, Duquesne, George Washington, Fordham and La Salle.

O'Donnell, a junior from Turnersville, N.J., earned her first all-conference honor in just her first year of rowing.

The men's crew was also in action today at the Kerr Cup hosted by Drexel University. Complete recap to follow pending release of final results.
