CAMDEN, NJ - The La Salle University Men's and Women's Crew teams sent out six boats this weekend competing in the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River. Both the Men's and Women's Second Varsity Eight reach a finals event, but neither finishes better than sixth.

The Women made the semifinals of the Second Varsity Eigth with a time of 7:17.1 in the third heat and then advanced to the Petite Final after a 8:03.1 finish. In the final, they stopped the clock in 7:58.1 and took sixth.

The Men's Second Varsity Eigth also took a sixth-place finish in their finals race, crossing the finish line in 7:02.1 after qualifying for the final with a third place in the semifinals.

The other events the Explorers raced in were: the Women's Club Four, who took fifth in the second heat with a time of 9:42.8; the Men's Frosh/Novice Four, who were sixth in the second heat, finishing in 9:08.4; and both the Men's (6:03.7)and Women's (7:26.6) Varsity Eight, who each took fifth in their respective heats.
