Marietta Invitational Regatta
Dow Lake, Athens, OH

The venue changed, the times changed, the heats changed, the day changed, but the Women's Varsity Eight was still ready for action. The race which was originally scheduled to be in Marietta Ohio, and a 2-day race was moved to Saturday only at Dow Lake, in Athens Ohio. In the first race the Explorers dominated A10 Conference opponent Duquesne & home course favorite Ohio University, by over a minute.

The second race of the day featured a Rematch with the Duquesne crew plus the addition of Dowling College, Grand Valley University and Marietta College. Marietta came out with a strong start and pushed ahead as the Explorers fought all the way down the course with Grand Valley. The headwind got the best of the smaller Explorer crew, and the fell to both teams.
